Córdoba Public Transportation: Bus & Train
Córdoba has a well-organized public transport system, mainly consisting of city buses, intercity buses, and a Cercanías commuter train line. The province’s transport infrastructure connects Córdoba city with surrounding towns and villages, making it relatively easy to travel within the region. The main transport hubs are Estación de Autobuses de Córdoba for buses and Estación de Córdoba for trains, including high-speed AVE services. While Córdoba lacks a metro or tram system, its bus and train networks provide reliable connectivity for daily commuters and visitors.
Córdoba Bus Routes
Córdoba city’s urban bus network is managed by AUCORSA, operating multiple routes that connect the historic center, modern districts, and suburbs. A single bus ticket costs €1.30, but frequent riders can use multi-trip cards for discounts. For travel between Córdoba city and other towns in the province, intercity buses operated by different companies provide service to places like Lucena, Montilla, and Pozoblanco. The Estación de Autobuses de Córdoba is the province’s main hub for regional and long-distance buses.

Córdoba Cercanías: Commuter Rail Line C-1
Córdoba’s Cercanías (commuter rail) network consists of the C-1 line, which connects Villa del Río, Córdoba city, and Palma del Río. Operated by Renfe, this line provides a fast and convenient way for commuters and travelers to move between these towns. The trains run daily with frequent departures, and Renfe offers various ticketing options, including bono cards for regular passengers. The main train station, Estación de Córdoba, also serves high-speed AVE trains for travel to Seville, Madrid, and beyond.
Currently, this line is being renovated and improved and may not be fully functional.
