Granada province has a well-connected public transport system, with options including buses, the metro, and suburban trains (Cercanías). In Granada city, most people rely on city buses and the metro to get around, while interurban buses link the city to nearby towns. Cercanías trains provide a regional transport option, though the network is smaller compared to other provinces. The main transport hub in the city is Estación de Autobuses de Granada, which connects Granada to other Spanish cities and Andalusian provinces.

Granada Metro-Tram: Schedule & Routes
The Granada Metro is a light rail system (metro-tram hybrid) that runs across the city and nearby towns. It has one line, covering 26 km with 26 stations, connecting areas like Albolote, Maracena, Granada city, Armilla, and Churriana de la Vega. The metro operates from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM (Monday–Thursday) and extends service until 2:00 AM on weekends. Tickets can be purchased for single trips, or passengers can use the Credibús card, which offers discounts for frequent travelers. Future expansions aim to extend the line to more parts of the province.

Granada Bus Info
Granada’s city bus system is operated by Transportes Rober, with a network of red buses covering the entire city. A single bus fare costs €1.40, but there are multi-trip cards (Credibús) that offer reduced fares. Special minibuses serve the Albaicín and Sacromonte neighborhoods, which have narrow streets where larger buses cannot pass.

For interurban travel, the Consorcio de Transportes de Granada runs blue-colored buses that connect Granada city with towns like La Zubia, Pinos Puente, Santa Fe, and Guadix. The Granada Bus Station serves as the departure point for regional and long-distance bus routes.

Granada Train Routes
Granada’s Cercanías (suburban train) network is limited compared to other Andalusian provinces. The main train station, Estación de Granada, also offers connections to high-speed AVE trains for travel to cities like Madrid, Seville, and Barcelona.
